Power and Economy
The new Prestige offers a 122kW 2.4 litre VVT (Variable Valve Timing) engine using 9.9lt/100, as well as a potent 3.2 litre quad cam VVT V6 which produces outstanding performance, generating 165kW of power and 248Nm of torque using just 10.5lt/100klm combined cycle. Sporty new gate designs, plus gear ratios tuned for satisfying acceleration and a smooth quiet ride, these are common features of the 4- and 5-speed automatic transmissions respectively available for the 2.4 four cylinder and 3.2-litre V6 engines.

The main switch built into the centre console provides effortless transfers between all four modes. 4H mode, the ideal mode for most driving conditions, offers smooth, quiet on-road performance plus impressive off-road traction. 4H Lock mode for serious off-roading, this high-range 4x4 mode evenly distributes traction to front and rear wheels for powering through even deep snow or mud. 4L Lock mode comes with a transfer gear ratio nearly twice that of 4H Lock mode at 1.970, this low-range 4x4 mode ensures enough low-end traction to get out of any situation you may want to, one day find your self in.
The "Built-in Ladder Frame" (monocoque body with built-in ladder frame) elevates rigidity and durability, enhancing both on and off-road performance by reducing Noise Vibration and Harshness, contributing factors of driver fatigue.

Obviously the top of the range, the V6 Prestige comes with those little extras fitted standard, such as Hill descent and Hill hold, High intensity Discharge headlight system with automatic dusk sensing setting and headlight washing system. This standard feature on the V6 can be, up to a $9000 option on some European marques.
